The ASPIS Cluster is made up of three research projects

- ONTOX, PrecisionTox, RISK-HUNT3R -
funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme

and is the largest public funding of this type of research in Europe

in relation to the advancing safety assessment of chemicals without the use of animal testing

€59.4 Million, 3 Projects, 5 Years

Each project focuses on a different aspect of the new generation risk assessment.

Being part of this cluster will allow the projects to optimise synergies and avoid overlaps, sharing expertise to maximize the scientific impact and output of the three projects.

Expected impact

Scientist in the Lab

Enhanced international cooperation leading to
cutting-edge discoveries

Embryonic Stem Cells

Contribution to the development of an international strategy and guidelines for testing chemicals, drugs and biologicals and assessing associated hazard and risk.

Improved risk assessment of chemicals integrating human centric next generation testing strategies promoting the 3Rs
